Weki Terms of Use
Last updated: 20 October 2026 · Türkçe
By using Weki, you accept these terms. They describe how the app actually works; they are not a generic template. If anything is unclear, write to us and we will explain.
1. Who provides Weki
Weki's iPhone app is provided by Yusuf Uygar and its Android app by Burak Albayrak (both individuals, not companies). Both apps use the same server and accounts; these terms apply to both. Contact: destekwekicompany@gmail.com. How personal data is processed is described in the Privacy Policy.
2. What Weki does and does not do
Weki is an alarm app. Alarms are set on your phone and ring on your phone; they ring even if our server is down or you have no internet connection. The server exists only for what you share with your friends: shared alarms, "Awake" status, plans, nudges and wake-up voice messages.
We cannot guarantee that an alarm will ring. The alarm is rung by your phone's operating system, and the following can prevent it: battery optimization being applied to the app, the "exact alarm" or notification permission being turned off, the app being force-stopped, the phone being off, storage being full, or the manufacturer's background restrictions. The app reports these situations on the Alarm Health screen and shows how to fix them; even so, Weki should not be your only way to wake up. In situations where missing an alarm would have serious consequences, such as a flight, an exam or medication times, do not rely on Weki alone; set a second alarm.
3. Your account
- A username, a display name and a password are enough to create an account. We do not ask for an email address.
- If you forget your password, you can reset it only with your recovery code. The code is shown once when you create your account; you can create a new one in Profile. Once used, a code becomes invalid and you are given a new one. Because there is no email or phone verification, if you lose both your password and your recovery code, you can never sign in to your account again. Keep your password and your code somewhere safe.
- Protecting your password and your session is your responsibility. You are responsible for actions taken with your account.
- You may not create an account in someone else's name or impersonate someone else.
- You can change your username; the name you give up can be taken by someone else.
4. Age
Weki is not intended for children under 13. Do not use it if you are under 13. If you are under 18, use it with your parent's or guardian's knowledge.
5. Your obligations
Weki is a tool built to wake people up, not to disturb them. You may not:
- Use nudges, wake-up voice messages or group invitations to disturb, frighten, threaten or harass anyone.
- Send insulting, hateful, sexual or illegal content, or content that infringes someone else's rights.
- Persistently send requests or invitations to people you do not know.
- Load the service with automated tools, try to get around rate limits, bypass security measures or try to access someone else's account.
- Reverse-engineer the app to use the server interface without permission (except where the law expressly allows it).
We have zero tolerance for insults, harassment, threats, hate speech, sexual or illegal content on Weki, and for the users who post it. If someone bothers you, block or report them. We review reports within 24 hours, remove content that breaks these rules, and suspend or close the account that posted it. Names and titles containing objectionable words may be rejected before they are posted.
6. Wake-up voice messages
You can leave a short voice message for a friend's alarm. You are responsible for the content of the messages you send. The audio file is deleted 24 hours after the alarm time; the copy downloaded to the phone is deleted within 48 hours at the latest. These periods describe how the product works, not a promise to keep the file; do not expect it to be permanent.
By sending a voice message, you allow us to store it temporarily on our server so that your friend can listen to it. Beyond that, we claim no rights over your content.
7. Price
Weki is currently free. If a paid feature is added in the future, what it is will be stated clearly in advance; an existing feature will not be made paid without notice.
8. Changes to or discontinuation of the service
Features may change or be removed; the service may be interrupted for maintenance. We announce important changes on the website and, where possible, in the app. Even if the server stops, the alarms set on your phone keep ringing; what stops are the sharing features.
9. Closing your account
- You: you can delete your account at any time — Profile → Delete Account, or by the steps on the account deletion page. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
- We: if you violate these terms, we may suspend or close your account. Where possible, we tell you why. If you think the decision is wrong, you can appeal by writing to destekwekicompany@gmail.com; we will review it again.
10. Limitation of liability
Weki is provided "as is". For the reasons described above (section 2), we are not liable for the consequences of an alarm not ringing or ringing late, or of a notification not arriving. This limitation does not affect liability that cannot be limited by law or your rights under consumer protection law; cases of intent and gross negligence are excluded from it.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. The courts and enforcement offices of Ankara have jurisdiction over disputes. If you are a consumer, your right to apply to consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts is reserved. If you live in another country (for example in the EU/EEA), this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country of residence, and you may also bring claims in its courts.
12. Changes
If these terms change, we update the date at the top of this page. We announce an important change on the website before it takes effect and, where possible, in the app. If you do not accept the new terms, you can delete your account. For important changes we may ask for your consent.
13. Intellectual property and licence
Weki's name, logo, design and software belong to us. We give you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive and revocable right to use Weki for personal, non-commercial purposes. No rights pass to you beyond those expressly granted in these terms.
14. If you downloaded Weki from the App Store
If you downloaded Weki from Apple's App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. These terms are between you and us; Apple is not a party to them. We, not Apple, are responsible for the app and its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. You address any complaints, claims or demands relating to the app (including product liability, legal compliance, consumer protection and intellectual property infringement claims) to us, not to Apple. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, once you accept them, have the right to enforce them against you.
15. General provisions
- If any provision of these terms is held invalid, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
- These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between us regarding the use of Weki.
- If we transfer the service to another person or company, these terms continue with them; we will announce this in advance.
